Company Profile SHG or Standard Hospitality Group is a h olding company that is owned by J ohn Marie Concepcion. Mr . Concepcion , is the CEO of Unilever RF M ice cream company (URIC) . He has led the Selecta brand to become the leading ice cream company in the Philippines with a dominant market position of 80% market share. In 2011, confident with years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry he ventured into the restaurant business and set out to create a separate company called the Standard Hospitality Group. SHG is not your run - of - the - mill hospitality group; we only partner with unique Japanese brands that deem themselves masters of their dis h. We intend to work with international companies that share the same passion and attention to detail to their craft, qualities that illustrate the same values and philosophies we identify ourselves with. In the same year as SHG was established, SHG open ed Yabu : House of Katsu in Megamall. Yabu: House of Katsu is the first authentic Japanese Katsu Restaurant in the country that offers the ¾ inch - thick katsu served in a fast casual Japanese dining experience. It is founded by Mr. John Marie Concepcion (Pre sident and CEO) and business partners, Mr. Gerry A. Santos (Director), and Ms. Irene M. Joven ( Treasurer ) with cooks trained by the Master of Katsu, Chef Kazuya Takeda as Yabu’s expert consultant. Being the first to introduce Authentic Japanese Katsu, we do not only serve the dish, but also pride ourselves for perfecting each dish a nd offering outstanding service unlike any other restaurant in the Philippines. Within 8 months of operations, Yabu’s signature dish had been named Esquire Philippines’ Dish of the Year for 2012 and became a lead er in social media with over 240 ,000 follower

For 2 consecutive years, 2013 and 2014, Yabu was awarded the Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor and was included in the prestigious list of Philipp ine Tatler’s Best Restaurants in 2013 and 2014 . With our pilot store located at SM Megamall, Yabu currently holds the title for the highest gross sales for casual restaurants. We opened our 2 nd and 3 rd branches within less than a year of operations at Robinsons Magnolia and SM Mall of Asia. In 2013, Yabu has opened its doors to 5 more branches in SM Southmall, SM North EDSA, Alabang Town Center, Glorietta 5 and the newly constructed SM Aura Premier in B onifacio Global City, boasting off upscale interiors and currently stands as Yabu’s flagship branch. In 2014, we opened Yabu in Powerplant Mall hitting a total of 10 branches all over the Philippines. All of Yabu’s branches are company - owned and we would l ike to keep it that way. This year, Standard Hospitality Group has partnered with international Japanese ramen brand, Ippudo. Ippudo was founded in 1985 in Japan’s ramen capital of Hakata by Shigemi Kawahara , the internationally - renowned Ramen King and CEO of Chikaranomoto Company. Ippudo has over 70 IPPUDO restaurants in Japan , and more than 30 globally in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Shanghai, Taipei, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Seoul , London and Kuala Lumpur. Ippudo opened its doors in the P hilippines last September 2014 in Manila’s biggest premier mall, Mega Fashion Hall, which holds the largest international retail brands. By 2016 we are set to to hold a total of 10 branches in the biggest malls in Manila.
