Examples of Changing From Exponential Form to Logarithmic Form Example – Write the exponential equation 3 5 = 243 in logarithmic form. In this example, the base is 3 and the base moved from the left side of the exponentia l equation to the right side of the logarithmic equation and the word “log” was added. Example – Write the exponential equation x 7 = 153 in logarithmic form. In this example, the base is x and the base moved from the left side of the exponential equa tion to the right side of the logarithmic equation and the word “log” was added. Example – Write the exponential equation 201 = x 4 in logarithmic form. In this example, the base is x and the base moved from the right side of the exponential equation to the left side of the logarithmic equation and the word “log” was added. Example – Write the exponential equation 8 x = 37 in logarithmic form. In this example, the base is 8 and the base moved from the left side of the exponential equation to the r ight side of the logarithmic equation and the word “log” was added. Example – Write the exponential equation y = 2 4 in logarithmic form. In this example, the base is 2 and the base moved from the right side of the exponential equation to the left sid e of the logarithmic equation and the word “log” was added. To change from exponential form to logarithmic form, identify the base of the exponential equation and move the base to the other side of the equal sign and add the word “log”. Do not move anythin g but the base, the other numbers or variables will not change sides.
