With their reports therapist will provide SMART Aims for Children and young adults outlining what their intervention will be for the next 1-3 years.
When completing an EHCP not all therapy aims and goals will need to be included. Only those Aims which the family feel are vital to enabling the child or young person to move towards their aspirations. The report can be an appendix if desired.Therapists should identify individual needs not base their intervention on current services or practices.

L is a 13yr old boy who has been recently diagnosed with Growth Hormone Deficiency, he also has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
He struggles with social situations and has high levels of anxiety and episodes of depression.He is obsessed with playing football tending to be the only topic he is comfortable talking about. His Aspiration is to become a Professional footballer and he says at his EHCP meeting he will be the best in the world.
