OverviewThis exercise is designed to test ORWG’s ability to alert members and communicate during a major disruptive event. We seek to answer the question:“Are the Oregon Wing and all of its Squadrons fully prepared and adequately trained to respond to a major disruptive event and are our communications capabilities sufficient to sustain our mission?”ORWG July 2019 Communications Webinar3

ObjectivesValidate the existing readiness, communications assets, and alerting capabilities of ORWG.Initiate an Alert Level 1, ensure all ORWG units are able to receive the alert within a specified timeframe.Encourage and empower units to be responsible for their own Catastrophic Plans; ensure their members are familiar with the response process and everyone knows where the plan is stored and has access to it.Exercise ORWG Emergency Services and Communications to test and practice our ability to set up and operate CAP HF and VHF communications assets.
