Slide7Full Day AbsencesIf you are absent, have your parents call the office on the day of the absence. Notes are accepted upon return as well but a call is preferred.
If the absence is NOT cleared within 3 days, absence turns into a truancy (FULL-DAY CUT)If you are ever out of class without an excuse, you will have to make up that period in detention or SWAP
Attendance
Slide8We can’t accept transportation, baby-sitting, or “I didn’t wake up on time” as an excused absence
The consequence for a first period unexcused absence will result in a detention
Be CAREFUL, when you accumulate unexcused absences, you may be suspended and/or referred to the district office review board

Slide9Sign in at the attendance office when arriving late or leaving earlyIT’S A MUST
ONE OF THE MOST COMMON REASON STUDENTS GET DETENTIONS!If you are more than
20 minutes late
, it is considered an absence which means we must hear from a parent.
Failure to follow these directions can result in a detention.

Suspension
Everyone receives 3 “Free”
tardies
for each class at the start of the semester. Save them for emergencies!!
THEREFORE.. THERE ARE NO EXCUSED TARDIES
example: you are 10 min late to per 1 because you had a flat tire. This would count as one of your free 3
tardies, this is considered an “emergency.” If this happened on number #4, you would be issued a DETENTION.
TARDIES
UnannouncedTwo P’s (
PASS AND PERMISSION)
You must have a hall pass AND teacher’s permission whey you leave the class after the bell rings.
If you are caught outside your class without a pass, even though your teacher has given you permission, you will get a detention. Yes, even if it’s the first time you’ve ever been tardy
PE classes must be inside the locker room to be safe from the tardy sweep.

If you fail to report to your GLC or the office, the consequences will increase
