Dr. Fabio Bigi – Biography (Candidate for Vice Chairman of the Expert Group on ITRs) - Doctorate degree in Electronic Engineering,University of Rome (1967) ; - State examination (1967) ; - Researcher in Fondazione Ugo Bordoni (1967 - 1968) ; - ITU staff member (November 1968 - June 2001) with increasing responsabilities, ending as Deputy Director of the Telecomunication Standardization Bureau ; - Consultant for the It alian administration, starting from 2001 . In these function he has represented the italian administration in several CEPT and ITU meetings and activities, such as ITU Council (he has acted as a chair of Council 2011) ; - Chaired groups during WCIT - 12 ; - During PP - 14 he has been the chairman of the group charged w ith the resolution relatives to internet ; - Various Groups of the Council (in the past period he was the chairman of the group for the preparation of the strategic plan of the union) ; - WRCs, WTDCs (in WTDC - 10 he was chair of the group charged with the strategic planning and the working methods of the sector and of the declaration of Hyderabad), WTSAs (in WTSA - 04 he was chair of the working methods of the sector ,WPTF, WSIS ) ; - RAG, TDAG, TSAG (at present vice - chairman,in the previous period was the chairman of the WP charged with the external relations and technology watch functions) ; - Vice Chairman of ITU - T SG20 “IoT and its applications including smart cities and communit ies (SC&C)” .
