MODEL UNITED NATIONS ASSEMBLY PROPOSED YOUTH SERVICES PROGRAM FOR DISTRICT 9510 Rotary and the United Nations have a shared history of working toward peace and addressing humanitarian issues around the world. During World War II, Rotary informed and educated members about the formation of the United Nations and the importance of planning for peace. available for you to share with your Youth Services Director. 1 MUNA Model United Nations Assembly Across Australia Rotary offers this two - day programme for Year 11 students. MUNA simulates sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN). MUNA encourages young people to learn about other countries and appreciate the inner workings of the UN. This Youth Service Program falls under the Peace and Conflict Prevention/ Resoluton Area of Focus. 2 A team of two students is allocated a member country of the

The debates reproduce genuine UN debates, often with a fine flow of rhetoric, points of order, motions of dissent and bloc walkouts! If you are looking for some fun exercise, volunteer to be a runner.
