When Harry went into his garden he saw some new, green shoots coming through the soil.

It is February. Harry saw that lots of new plants were starting to grow.

When he looked carefully, even the trees had started to change. “I wonder what this is called,” he said.

Harry tried to learn the names of some of the spring flowers, like these yellow ones.

These are very popular flowers for spring. Do you know what they are called?

Harry thought these tiny flowers were as white as snow. The petals looked like drops of water.

Harry liked the purple flowers growing by the fence.

Harry was surprised to see that some green shrubs had signs of new growth.

The trees had pink or white flowers on the branches.

Some flowers on the trees looked like lambs tails, and wiggled in the breeze.

Even in the vegetable patch plants were growing long green leaves. Harry thought how busy plants were in spring!
