Patient B is a 59 year old female who has a past medical history of Learning difficulties which means she has a 24 hour carer. She presented in December 2020 as the second wave of COVID-19 was growing exponentially with shortness of breath and cough. On examination she was hypoxic with oxygen saturations around 80% on room air requiring high flow oxygen, Arterial blood gas showed type one respiratory failure.
