Grading – all Core subjects How does grading in middle school differ from elementary?All work vs. Weighted Categories Summative (60%) – Only 3 – 4 grades Tests/Assessments ProjectsPapersFormative (40%) – Numerous gradesClassworkHomeworkQuizzesLabs Oh my!!! This means at the end of a 9 week grading period each summative grade will effect 15 – 20 points of the average.
