Psalm 37:1-9
NLT
Don’t worry about the wicked
or envy those who do wrong.
2
For like grass, they soon fade away.
Like spring flowers, they soon wither.
3
Trust in the
Lord
and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
4
Take delight in the
Lord
,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.Slide9
Psalm 37:1-9 NLT
5
Commit everything you do to the
Lord
.
Trust him, and he will help you.
6
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
7
Be still in the presence of the
Lord
,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.Slide10
Psalm 37:1-9 NLT
Stop being angry!
Turn from your rage!
Do not lose your temper—
it only leads to harm.

For the wicked will be destroyed,
but those who trust in the
Lord
will possess the land.Slide11Slide12Slide13Slide14Slide15Slide16
The Great Thanksgiving
Almighty God, You who created us to enjoy Your Fellowship: and even when we turned away and our love failed, Your love was true.
You gave promises to Abraham, and You were true to Your word. You make a covenant with Moses and blessed Your people Israel. You sent prophets who spoke of a new promise and a new covenant.
In the fullness of time, You gave the world Your only Son. You anointed Him by Your Spirit to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, and to announce salvation to the nations.Slide17
The Great Thanksgiving
He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and ate with people just like us. By His suffering and death, his resurrection and ascension, He opened the way to heaven. He promised to be with us always, in the power of Your Word and in the person of Your Spirit.
So we come this morning with hearts that are full of Your grace.
Thank You, precious Father, for all Your saving acts in our lives. Thank You for this Table. We come rejoicing in our salvation, and looking to that day when we will be seated at the heavenly Table with Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.Slide18Slide19
The lord’s prayer
Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For
Thine
is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.
Amen.Slide20

Luke 18:18-30
NLT
18
Once a religious leader asked Jesus this question: “Good Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”
19
“Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “Only God is truly good.
20
But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother.’”
21
The man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.”
22
When Jesus heard his answer, he said, “There is still one thing you haven’t done. Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
23
But when the man heard this he became very sad, for he was very rich.Slide35
Luke 18:18-30
NLT
24
When Jesus saw this, he said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!
25
In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”
26
Those who heard this said, “Then who in the world can be saved?”
27
He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”
28
Peter said, “We’ve left our homes to follow you.”
29
“Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God,
30
will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come.”Slide36
Mark 10:29
NLT
29
“Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News,
30
will receive now in return
a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property
—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life. Slide37
