Scope of Practice
A CSEP-CPT works with apparently healthy individuals or those with a stable health
condition between the ages of 15 - 69 years who are able to exercise independently. CSEP-CPTs use the tools and strategies outlined in the CSEP-PATH manual to:Conduct pre-participation health screening assessmentsConduct submaximal aerobic and musculoskeletal fitness and body compositionDesign, implement, and monitor client-tailored exercise programs

Advanced
certification
CSEP-CEPs can administer any assessment protocol available, health, performance and job related, as well as submax and maximum testing. Their CSEP-CEP coupled with their University degree, training and experience will provide enable them to work along side other allied health professionals. Scope of PracticeThe CSEP-CEP Scope of Practice has 11 points and sanctions the certified member to work with general populations, high performance athletes, and those with chronic health conditions, functional limitations or disabilities across the lifespan.
