On the first day of school there is a new girl named Stargirl Caraway. She does not dress or act like most people.

Stargirl dances around on the football field with the marching band and decided to join the cheerleading team when she was asked to join.

Soon Stargirl becomes the most popular girl at school.The rest of the school starts to act just like her.Stargirl meets a new friend named Dori Dilson who sits with Stargirl at lunch.

Stargirl begins to do things that make the people in her school upset and angry.She does not mind when people do mean things to her, but when others are upset she tries to make them feel better.

Stargirl and Leo develop a close relationship and really like each other.However, everyone in the school starts to ignore them completely.

After a bad incident happened between Stargirl and a mean girl at school, Stargirl never returned to school again. Leo still thinks about her all of the time even 15 years later.
