Family Medicine Experience

Work with all 3 physicians over the course of 8 weeks

See patients on your own, present H&P to physician, discuss assessment & plan, interpret EKGs and XraysWide variety of patients – newborns to age 100+, lots of OB patients, acute and chronic office visitsIn office proceduresJoint injections/aspirations, vaccinations, cryotherapy, skin excisions/biopsies, suturing lacerations, casting, assisting with vasectomiesHospital (JMMMMC)

Morning roundsER call (~1 night/week; 2 weekends total)See patients first, do H&P, develop differential diagnoses, determine labs/imaging to orderScrub in on C-sections
