Reach & Readership The Overcast has proven appeal with every demographic. Its primary readership consists of vibrant Newfoundlanders, from ages 20-65, in St. John’s, Mt. Pearl, and Paradise. Our readers are actively engaged with city life, arts, and culture, and support local businesses and organizations like yours. We print, and legitimately move, 15,000 copies per month. We distribute to more than 150 locations, including every campus, Sobeys, and Dominion in Greater St. John’s. Our copies in cafés, restaurants, pubs, and hotels are read by an average of 2.5 readers, doubling ad exposure. We are a free publication, which exposes your ad to more varied readers than paid or subscription-based publications. - innumerable readers across the province and abroad. In short, we oer a distribution ring and regular readership that is second only to The Telegram, but with a more varied readership. Ad cancellations must be received by The Overcast before the 21st of the month before they are set to go to print, otherwise the advertiser assumes liability for the cost of the ad space booked. Cancellation of a contract in the “The Long-term Commitment Discount” will result in a client being charged the amount of remaining ads they have cancelled, at the agreed upon discount rate of 5% or 10%. Accounts/Invoices which remain unpaid aer 30 days are subject to a 3% service charge per month. In cases where a client submits a potentially controversial ad, The Overcast reserves the right to disapprove the content of an ad. Clients assume all liability for content of any advertisements and agree to indemnify The Overcast from any claims that arise. Terms and prices subject to change. THE DOUBLE UP DISCOUNT Our biggest discount also happens to ensure you get double the bang for your buck: Buy a print ad and web at for the same event or product, and save 10 % o BOTH ads! THE OTHER DOUBLE UP DISCOUNT It’s a clever move, and it works: buy more than one ad in a single issue and you’ll not only turn heads, you’ll get 10% o your invoice for that issue (before taxes). THE NEWBIE DISCOUNT Starting a new business is rough for two reasons: no one knows you exist yet, and you don’t have money for ads. We’ve been there, so we’ll oer 10% o to any business that is less than three months old. THE LONGTERM COMMITMENT DISCOUNT We need ad revenue to survive, and you need ways to reach an audience. Here’s to mutually benecial relationships: Save 5% per ad when you book 3 ads at once, or 10% when you book 6. THE NOBLE, NOTFORPROFIT DISCOUNT If anyone deserves to get their word out there, it’s you.
