Energy Assessments AdministrativeWhole BuildingAre you tracking utilities—monthly/annually?How is the building used/scheduled?Do we have KPI for this building?How is it metered?Has assessments been done before? What utilities are serving this building?Do we have SEP for this building? Do we have an EP for this building? Are management and staff trained on energy management issues? Classroom/Office Do you know what it costs to operate this building? Are energy savings tips posted or visible? Is the room shut down at night and on the weekend? When is housekeeping performed? Do you know the EP, SEP or met the Energy Manager? Is everything turned off daily? How often is this room used? How is this room used?

Is the room set back went unoccupied? Does the room feel hot or cold? Is the T/Stat clear, obstructed, properly located? How often is this room used? How is this room used? How often is room HVAC maintained? How much OSA is coming into the room?

If so, why and how much?Is heated water part of HVAC? Are timers being used on water heaters?Is the temp set to a lower setting? Has low flow china been installed? Have low flow sink aerators and shower heads been installed? How old is the water heating equipment? Are circulating pumps in use? Are these pumps on timers? Are hot water lines insulated? Classroom/Office If water devices exist, are they low flow? Have low flow sink aerators and shower heads been installed?

Do overhangs exist to help shade windows? Is the roof insulated? Are there cracks or holes in the building exterior?

If not, why? Have all small appliances been removed and are only in designated areas? Classroom/Office Do small appliances exist and why? Have all AC/DC adapters been unplugged? Are there devices installed that cannot be unplugged or turned off? Are plug strips being switched off at night? Are space heaters being used? Are computers being shut down at night and on the weekend? Are printers, shredders and other office devices turned off when not in use? Is there other things that could be removed?
