Before We Practice…. Underneath your notes, label a new section as “PRACTICE”. Copy down the nouns onto your loose leaf. Follow the directions listed on the slide with the practice material. Ball Review- Instead of calling on students to answer the questions, we will be answering by ball toss. If you would like to answer, raise your hand. I will start by tossing the basketball to the first person, and they will answer accordingly. After they answer, you will raise your hand and they will toss the ball to the next person. Remember, we are TOSSING THE BALL, not throwing it across the room.

Practice: Identify as either abstract or concrete. Sisterhood Loyalty Engine Apples Congregation Happiness Thrill Ice cream

Practice: Read each sentence. Identify the nouns and determine if they are common or proper. Christopher visited the museum. Greg carried the groceries. The food smelled delicious. We live on Maple Street. The children splashed in the pool. Brendan went to Lakeview Hospital.

CLOSING: Close your eyes. Thumbs up if you feel confident with the types of nouns covered today. Thumbs down if you need more help.
