INTASC Standard

Standard #1: Learner Development

The teacher understands how learners grow and develop, recognizing that patterns of learning and development vary individually within and across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical areas, and designs and implements developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiencesName of Artifact: Teacher Interview Project Date: February 19, 2015 Course: Edu 101- Introduction to teachingBrief Description: In this assignment we had to interview a teacher of our choice. We had to ask them questions like, what made them want to become a teacher, and who had influence them to become one, and what do you do for the students to help out the ones that don’t understand as well. I choose to do my interview over my 10th, 11th, and 12th English teacher. Rationale: To document my understanding of InTASC Standard 1, Learner Development, I have selected to include my teacher interview project, because she understood that not every child is the same and she comes up with new ways to teach so the ones that don’t understand it can. She doesn’t want any child to be left behind or not know what she is talking about. She may not need any more degrees or anything to further her career but she take computer class so she can answer a question that a student has for her when they go to the computer lab. She makes sure that every student has what they need to learn, she makes sure they understand what she is talking about. Slide3
