CLARITY Workshop Information Details of the hands - on CLARITY training workshops that will be held at Stanford University throughout the year are listed below. Please contact the CLARITY Education Manager, Dr. Kristin Engberg directly ( engberg@stanford.edu ; cc PI Karl Deisseroth: deissero@stanford.edu ) , with any further questions.  3 - day training workshops will be offered every other week starting in l ate June 2013.  4 participants will be invited to each workshop; unfortunately, due to space limitations, only one member from each laboratory can be accommodated.  The workshop is free for all participants from academic institutions and national l abs. Ea ch participant is responsible for funding his/her own travel and hotel accommodations.  Workshop goals: o To demonstrate and/or discuss the various steps and timeline of the CLARITY technique, including solution preparation, hydrogel embedding, electrophoret ic tissue clearing (ETC) setup, and sample imaging. o To construct your own ETC chamber. o To answer questions and discuss your potential CLARITY applications.  To register for the CLARITY workshop waiting list, if you have not done so already, please send an email to Dr. Engberg with the following information: o Your name o Your institution o Your position (graduate student, postdoc, etc . ) o Your PI’s name (if applicable) Due to high demand, it may take a while until we are able to invite you to participate in a workshop. We will contact you a couple months before your scheduled workshop to inform you of the available dates. In the meantime, we are currently developing ot her online resources to aid you in establishing the CLARITY technique in your own laboratory. Right now, we are also gauging interest in conducting a more extended 3 - week workshop where a few researchers would possibly be able to bring their own samples to learn and perform all the steps of CLARITY. We are not offering this type of workshop yet, b ut please contact Dr. Engberg if you would be interested in participating in a more extended workshop of this nature.
