Page2of3Pre-Installation: Please read CertainTeedCeiling’s Pre-InstallationInstructions before you begintheseinstallationinstructions.1.Installing WallMoldingTo installWallMolding,choose a heightatleastthreeinchesbelow joists,existingceilings,ducts,pipes,orwiring,to ensure clearanceandmaneuverability required to install the panels.Markthedesiredheight forthefinishedsurfaceoftheceilingon allfourwalls.AttachWallMoldingusing appropriatefasteners.2.InstallHangersMarklinesforeachofthemainrunners.Pull a stringline alongthepaththat thefirstmain runnerwilltake.Attachtheline directly below thewallmolding.Hangersare placed every48”along themain runners.3.Install the First Main RunnerInstallthefirstsectionofmainrunner,withcutedgesittingonthewallangle.Attach the main runner to wire.4.Install BorderCrossTeesEstablishthelocationofthefirstbordercrosstee.Tocut thecrosstee, place one endontopofthewallmolding and againstthewall,cutthecrossteedirectlyat themidpointofthemainrunner(whereitcrosses thestringlineyousetup).Spinthecutcrosstee around and installthefactoryendintothemainrunner.Placethecutendofthecrossteeontopofthewallmolding.Clamp the cross tee where it sits on the wall molding, so that it does notfallormove.Repeatthe processforthe restofthe bordertees.Installtheremaining sections ofMainRunnerinthefirstlinetoreachtheotherwall.Besuretocheckthelevel.Installtheremaining crosstees.5.SquaretheGridSystemInstall the first section of next main runner.Install two 4’ cross tees in line with the border tees.Check toseeifthesystemis squarebymeasuringdiagonallyacrosstheopeningsbetweenthemain runnerandthecrosstees.Themeasurementsshould beequalifthesystemis square.Install2’crossteesasneeded.RepeatSteps 3-5untiltheceiling gridsystemis completedfortheroom Page3of36.InstallPanelsPutonwhitecotton gloves,sothat thedirtandoilfromyourhands,doesnotgetonthepanels.(Ifglovesbecome soiled,replace themimmediately.Start installing panels inthemiddleofthefield.Maneuverand tilt thepanelsabove thegrid, thencarefullyrestthepanelsonthegrid.7.InstallBorderPanelsCut border panels by measuring each one individually.
