It is against the law to touch them, so leave them alone and make sure nobody else sees it. You can then report your sighting to the environment agency.We can protect the great crested newt by not destroying forests, making secret sanctions for them and making sure nobody kills them or tries to harm them.Slide3
The great crested newt
They
have a tail to help them swim faster and use it as a paddle.It’s dark grey-brown back it is covered with darker coloured spots, which make it appear black. When compared to smooth newts, it is larger and heavier, growing to a length of 15 cm. The range of the Great Crested Newt extends from great Brittan and Brittanya in the west, to across much of Europe North of the Alps and the Black Sea.
