Programs operated under this standard shall be developed and operated in accordance with ISO 17024

Certification Program Requirements
Certification exams shall be based on the competency requirements in the Body of Knowledge
Practical exams for Level II shall require candidate to prepare and coat a test panelSlide28
Certification Program Requirements
Practical exams for Level II shall test the candidate on:
Plan steps and procedures
Set up and start abrasive blasting equipment
Abrasive blast the test panel or test apparatus to a specific level of cleanliness and surface profile
Assess, measure, and document the specified surface preparationSlide29
Requirements for Maintaining Qualification
Shall be valid for no more than 3 years
Shall be maintained by one of the following methods:
Completion of a minimum 24 hours per year of relevant training and 500 hours per year of relevant work experience
Completion of the qualification exam(s) and 500 hours per year of relevant work experienceSlide30
