VW Settlement Volkswagen (VW) violated the Clean Air Act for ~580,000 diesel vehicles with defeat devices VW is required to: Buyback vehicles or perform an emissions modifications Invest $2 billion on zero-emission electric vehicles (EVs) and EV infrastructureSpend $2.9 billion to fully remediate the excess NOx emissionsNearly $55 million to Tribes and Alaska Native Villages2
