THIS IS A WORLD SCOUT MOOT!

The World Scout Moot 

is an official event of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM),  specifically designed for young people aged between 18 and 25 years inclusive.  It is held every four years and is like a mini World Jamboree for older aged Rover Scouts (

Venturers

).

The purpose of the World Scout Moot is to provide an international and intercultural learning opportunity for young adults that share Scouting’s values.Slide4

WHO CAN ATTEND

Participants

must be between 18 – 25 years of age (born on or between 8/2/91 and 7/25/99)

International Service Team

(staff) must be age 26+ with a preference for ages 26 – 30 years Slide11

INTERNATIONAL PATROLS

All participants will be divided into international patrols, consisting of 10 people each.

Members of a patrol participate as a unit in program activities during the Moot.

The patrols will be formed during the spring of 2017 and the patrol members will be encouraged to get acquainted over the Internet prior to the Moot.Slide12

EXPEDITION PROGRAM OPTIONS

The first half of the World Scout Moot the participants will be based at different Expedition Centers, mostly in the South of Iceland but also some in the West and the North.

Each Expedition Center will offer a program in three key areas (A, N, C), with each Center being graded 1-3 depending on the program emphasis of each Center.Slide16
