1. Aquatic Biome- The Euphotic ZoneBy: Nicole Pitchford

2. Uppermost layer of all the worlds oceans. (appx. 50-660 ft deep)Called “sunlit zone” Temperature ranges from 104-27 degrees Fahrenheit. Location

3. Food ChainDiatomsShrimpOcean Fish TunaMarlin

4. This is an aquatic biome. SaltwaterThe plants in this zone create 90% of the Earths oxygen.Largest amount of sea life lives here (90%), but it is the smallest size in volume.Sea life from coral reefs to Orka sharks thrive in this ocean level.Type of Habitat

5. Fishing grounds/foodRecreation- surfing, scuba diving, fishing etc.Human Use

6. Fishing nets that are drug across the sea floor, dynamiting coral reefs, over fishing popular species, and poising harm the biome. Pollution from humans like fertilizers and household chemicals harm multiple parts of the aquatic biome.Trash and oil from boats pollute water and animals in the ocean. Threats

7. There are no real ‘subbiomes’ within the Euphotic layer, however, there are many different ecosystems including:Rocky/sandy ocean floorCoral ReefsKelp ForestsSubbiomes
