It was, indeed, a homecoming for me today and an enriching experience to interact with the 1st year participants. The whole program of Abhyudaya is a path breaking pedagogical approach and it will actually be a competitive advantage for SPJIMR as it evolves. Sachin Chandasarkar, PGDM 2002 Abhyudaya, at the completion of 5 years, has seen making a mark as a movement, when we witness 1048 Mentors, having mentored for more than 40,000 hours, affecting around 300 Sitaras and their families! The fifth year saw the mentoring at Abhyudaya getting all the more relevant to the

Corporate World with the entry of the Alumni Mentors in the program layout. Alumni Mentors, by pr oviding their expertise to the s tudent mentors in the mentoring process, influence th eir personal growth and make mentoring relevant to their future leadership roles. About 4 0 Alumni from all the courses PGDM, PGPM, EMBA, PGDSM MIT; and from all the batches ranging from the year 1985 to 2008 have become a part of Abhyudaya . Around 30 other Alumni have expressed their interest to contribute towards Abh yudaya in some or the other way. For me Abhyudaya is NOT a project. For me it is a Context to

live our Life from, a Context to learn to live our life from. Sandeep Kapur, PGDM 1994

It was enriching for me to meet all and especially our young mentors. I believe, by way of this program, we (SPJIMR) are creating a new breed of business graduates, who, in the coming years, would create a chain reaction of bringing in a change in our socio economic structure resulting in more inclusive growth. Siddhart Tiwari PGPM 2006 About 40 Alumni commit to be the Men tor to the Mentors at Abhyudaya; a nd the number is still increasing! They spend the first half of a Saturday in a month

at the SPJIMR campus for 10 monthly cohort meetings , in a year . The Alumni mentors share their industry experience making the mentoring relevant to the Corpo rate World. They even dedicate their time to go through the documents and the assig nments of the student mentors and give them feedback. n the 3rd August, 2013 , Alumni Mentors were oriented about Abhyudaya and their roles. The session was lead by Hon. De an, Dr. M. L. Shrikant and was jointly attended by the Faculty Facilitators and the Alumni Mentors of the 25 cohorts. Many outright expressed the positive stance that Abhyudaya

created in their minds. The zeal of the alumni mentors was evident from the ide as and suggestions they gave , bringing new dimensions to strengthen the program. The participants immediately connected to these industrial experts and valued the addition of their alumni mentors in their cohorts.
