The titanic sideswiped the iceberg at about 11:40 pm on April 14.The titanic carried enough lifeboats for approximately 2,200 passengers.The ship lay about 400 miles southeast of Newfoundland.The ship was traveling at about 21 knots, nearly it’s top speed.Slide3

Fun Facts

Due to quick action by Caption Smith, the harbor pilot, the ships did not collide.At 1:45 am it read “ Engine full up to boilers.At 2:05 Caption Smith released the crew from their duties.In March 1909 work began on the titanic. Slide4

Awesome Third Class

The general room was the main meeting room.The smoke room was paneled and furnished in oak.The dinning room was situated on the middle deck.The dinning room could seat approximately 1,470 passengers.Slide5

Breakfast: Oatmeal, Fresh Bread and Butter, and Milk.Dinner: Vegetable Soup, Cabin Biscuits, and Oranges.Supper: Cabin Biscuits and Cheese and Coffee Top. Slide6
