The key to healthy, clean hair starts with what you’re putting on it and how you treat it. With the use of organic shampoos and conditioners, and a few other simple tricks, everyday can be a great hair day. You’re not the only one wondering if the hair care products you’re currently using are the best fit for you. If you want truly healthy, shiny, happy hair, it’s time to ditch those conventional bottles of shampoos and conditioners in your shower. Chances are, the bottle you picked up from the store is doing more damage than good to your hair, because it’s hiding behind a list of ingredients you don’t understand. It’s time to make the switch to natural shampoos and conditioners today. When trying to choose the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair, you’ll notice how ingredients vary from product to product, brand to brand. Each bottle is unique, promising the right combination to help your hair combat frizziness, increase volume and shine or boost natural hair growth. But how do you know if it is the right bottle for you? Did you know that there are over 90 types of essential oils, each with their own unique smell and health benefit? Essential oils are concentrated chemical compounds extracted from plants, making them completely natural products. Most importantly, all essential oils provide different properties, that can be used to improve different areas of health. Essential oils can offer pain relief, improve respiratory health, soothe skin conditions, promote healthy sleep patterns, decrease stress and anxiety, and boost your mood. Trim, Trim, Trim
Getting a haircut should not feel like the end of the world, but whether you like it or not, a trim every 6-8 weeks is really good for your hair. Getting regular trims keep your tips looking healthy and prevent split ends from spreading and damaging more hair, which could cause you to chop off even more hair down the road… Your hair is uniquely your own. With a different style, colour, texture and growing cycle, no one in the world will have hair exactly like yours, not even those in your family. What that means is that you’ll have to put time and effort into perfecting your hair care routine, to prevent as little damage as possible and help your hair thrive in its natural state. Your hair needs a surprising amount of maintenance in order to truly thrive, but your daily hair care routine could be causing more damage than you think. If you use blow-dryers, straighteners, elastic hair bands, too much dry shampoo and occasionally brush wet hair, your hair could be in trouble. Hair damage occurs through friction, heat and harsh chemical treatments, like colouring. Dandruff is a condition of the scalp that causes flakes of skin to appear, and it is surprisingly more common than you think. While it typically affects more men than women, one of every five people suffer from this scalp condition. Despite common belief, dandruff has nothing to do with poor hygiene, but flakes may be more visible if your hair is not looked after properly. While the exact cause of dandruff is unknown, it can be hard to treat, but it is not impossible to get rid of. There is nothing worse than the look and feel of oily hair. The problem is that it’s completely natural, caused by an over-active sebaceous gland. Sebum benefits the hair, making it smooth, hydrated and strong, so it won’t dry out or break, but too much sebum will make your hair look slick and greasy. Sometimes, you over produce sebum because of internal factors like hormones, but other times it can be because of your hair care and beauty routine. Luckily, there are a few simple ways to naturally combat oily hair! Run your hands through your hair from root to tip, but pay close attention to your ends. How do they feel? Are they soft and smooth, or are they rough, frizzy and split? If your ends are on the damaged side, your hair is in immediate need of some hydration. Having limp, lifeless hair is not something you have to settle for! With a keratin shampoo and a slight change to your hair care routine, you’ll be bringing more volume and life into your locks in no time! Here are 5 simple tips to volumizing your hair naturally, including the best volumizing shampoo! Coloring your hair is not only a confidence booster, it can emphasize texture and add lustre to your hair. The only thing you need to consider after changing your hair color, is that you might need to change the hair care products you use as well. Shampoos and conditioners are made with your hair in mind, taking into account your color, the texture of your locks and what it needs the most to thrive. By changing your color, you must have a shampoo that will help maintain that color and provide your hair with essential nutrients after putting it through a chemical process. You’ll definitely want a sulfate free shampoo and maybe even a hair growth shampoo, to ensure your hair is healthy and strong. The trick is finding a product that can do both, but there is a well-known ingredient that can… Biotin! How many different shampoos are you currently using? And no, different scents don’t count. If there is only a single bottle of shampoo in your shower, your hair is in big trouble and that care routine of yours is in desperate need of a revamp. For your hair to truly thrive, you should be alternating between at least two shampoos: a regular shampoo and a purifying shampoo. Purifying your hair is also known as detoxing, and it’s super important for your scalp. What you might not know is that it’s different from simply washing your hair with regular shampoo, and if you haven’t done it before, you’re in for a shocking surprise
