Once hatched caterpillars grow larger by eating leaves and plants.

Stage Three: Pupa, Cocoon, or Chrysalis
Once the caterpillar has eaten enough plants and leaves it builds a chrysalis on a branch or leaf.

Stage Four: Butterfly
Once the Pupa has finished growing it will break from the chrysalis.
Once the butterfly is completely removed from the chrysalis it moves its wings and learns to fly. Slide8
