A very famous story was called: “War of the Worlds”. In 1938, there was a international radio telecast by Orson Welles. He made up a story that frightened the world saying that aliens were attacking us and were abducting people one by one. There were no computers and really no one had television. So, there was no proof whether Welles' statement was true or false. Eventually, the people found out that it was a hoax and made Welles’ and his crew apologize.
