Today we hear how Jesus prayed for his disciples – asking God to protect them and to help them to follow his word. Let us think a bit more about this means for us today. . Opening Prayer. Mark 1:35. Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. . HE SENT THE CROWDS AWAY. . Matthew 14:23.
