The degree of busyness of getting to those events and activities on a daily basis has a great impact on whether a family will sit down and share a meal together. The hectic work schedule of parents also can be a major determining factor in whether a family can find the time to share in a meal. The 2007 National Survey of Children’s Health reported that only 26% of children ages 6 to 11 ate meals 4-5 days a week with their family.
