To Cinque Terre by train from Brignole Railway StationTake the train at Genova Brignole, and get off at Riomaggiore , where you can visit the village (from the railway station you have to pass the Tunnel to reach the village) and then (returning back from the tunnel) you can walk on the “Via dell’amore” (= Love walk) …a little and picturesque walking path on the sea… (the ticket for the path is about 3€) (the walk is about 20 min). There is a ticket of 5 euro that includes the path and ALL the trains between 5terre in one day. At the end of the path you are in Manarola , the 2ns of the Cinque Terre. Visit the village, you can have lunch eating in a restaurant or buying some pizza or focaccia …From Manarola you can take a train to Corniglia …this is an atypical village for Cinque Terre because in not direcly on the sea level but it’s on the top of the hill… I suggest to make the stairs to reach Corniglia because is very nice, steps are …too many…but it worths. (look the train timetable before going up so you can “calculate” the right time to go back because there are few trains). Walk in the narrow street and try to reach a wonderful terrace on the sea that is in Corniglia. Back to the train station, you take the train to Vernazza … wonderful village, with a castle that you can visit…not for the castle itself (almost ruins) but for the amazing view from the top of it. You can find the little “caruggio” (little street) that take to the castle on the left, going in the sea direction. From Vernazza you can take a boat to Monterosso , the trip lasts about 20 min, visit the village and then take a train directly to Genova Brignole.
