Building Your Campaign Plan Plan your campaignGear Up Run the campaign Close your campaign

Plan Your CampaignMeet with your United Way Relationship Manager and begin planning your campaign Go to liveunitedanc.org for ideas and sample materialsSecure CEO and senior management support Establish campaign goals like fundraising dollar amount and participation percentage

Gear UpRecruit and train your campaign team Work with the United Way of Anchorage to establish a timeline for eventsBegin campaign promotion with a thank you and recap from previous year Send letter from management to all employees Order campaign materials If applicable, update your online pledge site

Run the CampaignHost a campaign kick off event with United Way of Anchorage speakers Host an off-site volunteer event to engage employees and teamsHand out pledge forms and send email information about online giving tool (ePledge ) Hold meetings and fundraising events with all departments (see campaign ideas document) Give employees opportunities to learn more with volunteer events and agency speakers

Close Your CampaignSend a reminder email that your campaign is concluding and pledge forms need to be returned Collect pledge forms and submit campaign totals to the United Way of AnchorageSubmit contribution forms and final reports to your payroll department Announce campaign results to all employees Thank employees and the campaign committee with a celebration event, letter, email, etc. Gather feedback and notes for next year and schedule debrief with your Relationship Manager Choose a campaign coordinator, kick-off date for next year and develop a year-round engagement calendar
