4. Gathering Views in FifeWe recently spoke with individuals experiencing homelessness and/or short term housing support to gather their views on the redesign of urgent care – 111 telephone number. Members of the public are now being asked to call this number to be directed to the right care. This is a shift away from previously ‘turning up’ at A&E. Ensure other services they are referred onto are made aware of their needs and can prepareThe service for urgent care would offer increased privacy, rather than having to explain their situation in A&E where others may overhear. People should be able to use other facilities, for example, Out of Hours services if they don’t have access to a telephone to call 1118 one to one phone calls
