Wellbeing Champions & DEBCP Roles

Slide58

What are Wellbeing Champions?

Champions are your wellbeing resource at the department

level

Provide leadership in their departments to encourage a healthy work environment and healthy work practices for fellow

colleagues

Provide feedback and suggestions for employees to administrator

Can

schedule wellbeing program presentations at department meetings or events

Become

a Champion today and help make a difference!

If you’re interested in making your department a healthier place to work, please contact

well@umn.edu

and let us know what school or department you work in.

Slide59

DEBCP’S Role?

Encourage employees to participate in wellbeing programs. There’s both the financial benefit every year but also the lifetime benefit to their overall health and day-to-day wellbeing

View wellbeing as a dimension of “teamwork”

— i.e., Commit

to building the department’s morale and networks

Try to be a positive role model. Order healthier food options, take your breaks

Show commitment to having a wellbeing champion in your area – if you know someone who would be a great champion, suggest they become one!
