Scottish folks would usually wear the traditional kilt which is similar to a pleaded skirt. The kilts length is just below the knees. In Scotland there is many different tartan patterns the patterns represent clans and names. Wearing a green colored tartan resembled the forest, blue tartans resembled the lakes and rivers, yellow tartans resembled crops, and in battle you wore red so the blood would not show.

Other traditional things they wear is a sporran, skean dhu, kilt hose, a bell morrow hat, and a Prince Charlie jacket.Clothing is an expression of identity because it views what kind of person they are, the Scottish people expressed the traditional clothing as a symbol of there clans and names and there heritage, also that they were from Scotland. Education

Scotland's education system is free for everybody, and they use the PISA ranking. Scotland uses tests that only cover very specific skills

.Scotland usually has a large range of subjects but tend to not have as much options for middle school. Education expresses the Scottish people because it shows what things they learn as a country and represents what they learn to help them in the future. Slide3

Why it is important for a group to express, promote, and celebrate their culture.

Its important for a group to express, promote, and celebrate their culture because it shows where they come from, what they enjoy to do and symbolizes there country. It also shows how there country is different fro

m any other country by having different cultures, religions, languages, clothing, etc. For example Scotland wants to separate themselves from England because they want to be separate from England, and have there own identity. Scotland also wants to keep there culture alive, so they can pass it on to different generations. There culture defines who they are.Slide4

Why

is it important to respect other peoples cultures?

Its important to respect other peoples cultures because that's who they are, and that’s how they live there life. Everyone has different cultures and that’s how they express themselves. Dissing other peoples cultures could result in wars which would make the world not as peaceful. Everyone's beliefs, and values makes them unique and different from everyone else.Slide5
