All: The

earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. Ipswich belongs to God!

The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it.

The world and all who live in it.

All who live in Ipswich belong to God.

Ipswich we declare that you belong to God

. Slide3

All:

As God declared at the beginning of time, ‘Let there be light’, we declare over you Ipswich, that the light of Christ has come into this town and the darkness will not overcome it. We declare over the church in Ipswich that the truth of God is our firm foundation and that the truth has set us free.

A.

Send

forth your light and your truth into Ipswich and into your church; guide us and bring us into your presence.

B.

We

bless you Ipswich, in the name of Jesus, that you may be known as a dwelling place of God.Slide4

All:

We declare as the church in Ipswich that we are clothed in the righteousness of Christ, that

we stand against injustice and walk in

integrity. We

declare that as God requires of us, we will act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God.

A.

We

pray that God’s justice will be the measuring line and His righteousness will be the plumb-line for the leaders and decision makers in our town.

B.

We

bless you Ipswich, in the name of Jesus, that you will be a place of righteousness where justice is upheld.Slide5

All:

God is the source of all love and commands us to love one another. We declare as the body of Christ in Ipswich, in this year of 2017, that we commit to live every part of our lives in the love that we receive from God, in private and in public, within church and beyond.

A.

Within

your presence God, we meditate on your unfailing love. We pray that we will be carriers of your love and peace in our town and show your love and peace in every area of our lives – in our communities, our homes, in the work place.

B.

We

bless you Ipswich, in the name of Jesus that all who live in, work in and visit this town would know God’s love personally and that they would experience the peace of God that passes all understanding.Slide6

All:

We declare ‘open up’ wells of salvation and revival,

that the water of life will flow clearly, freely and abundantly in Ipswich.

A.

We

pray that in 2017 many people will come to know Jesus as saviour, that prayers will be answered and that this will be a time of harvest and fruitfulness. We pray that those who have lived in a place of hopelessness will come into a season of hope.

B.

We

bless you Ipswich, in the name of Jesus that you will prosper within God’s plans, that no harm will befall you, that you would know hope and walk into the future that God has ordained for you. Slide7

A.

Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.

B.

Ipswich

, the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.

All: Amen
