The British were in serious need of money.

Result of the increased tea costs
Three ship loads of tea were sent to Boston
Colonists were unhappy, rebelled
. – disguised themselves as American Indians.These colonists made their way onto the ships-dumping the tea into the harbour.Slide6
British Response
Tea was extremely expensive. – actions of colonists cost British a great deal of money.
British shut down the Boston port.

Caused conflict- began the American Revolution.
American Revolution- lead to the independence of the United States (Nationalism-the fight they endured for their country)
