That being said, if and when possible, we suggest and encourage the completion of ICUDE of any or all requirements using an inperson format. AboutCUDE The Credit Union Criteria for ICUDE To achieve a 2021 CUDE designation, individuals must have met the followingfourcriteria: Earn a DE designation from your homeDE program(virtual or inperson format) Note: Home D Complete at least one independent studies project that aligns with the learning objectives of the DE progra, and provide a report no less than 500 wordsdetailing your project. Your project must be approved by your home DE Program Director as meeting thiscriteria.Projects can be 2 Earn a second DE designation by completing a DE program outside of your home country virtual or inperson format) Note: DE Workshops, DE Networking events, or any other DEfocused eventsoutside of official DE programs do not qualify. Attend World Credit Union Conference or another significant credit union/coop education and engagement event outside of your home country/region(virtual or inperson format) (as approved by your home DE Program Director).To meet this criterion, the experience must significantly increase the breadth of your cooperative/credit union knowledge and network outside of your home country/region. The event must be aligned with DE philosophy.Examples might include: WOCCU’s World Credit Union Conference, national/apex credit union conference, multic

ountry confederation conferences, multiday DE Workshops, other significant DEfocused events, or significant CU/coop education experience. See Appendix A for a preapproved list of education and engagement events. For all other events, you must obtain approval from your home DE Program Director.You must have already attended the event with one exception: proof of registration for the 20WOCCU’s World CU Conferencewill be accepted.Questions regarding the criteria can be directed to your home DE rogram irector. A full list of DE programs and directors can be found at www.ncuf.coop/DE/International CUDE Application Process& Milestones To earn an ICUDE designation, individuals must complete and submit the following application to their country’s DE program directorMilestones for this process are in appendix Bthat detail out the application submission, review,and recognition calendar.Once your application is received, your country’DE program director will review and confirm your information meets the ICUDE requirements. Approved applications will be forwarded to the US DE Program Director who will finalizeand process your ICUDE designation in partnership with the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU).If your application is accepted, you will receive further detail on your new ICUDE designation and plans for recognition. If your application is considered incompleteor requires more information, your home country’DE program director will contact you and provide guidance on how to satisfy the requirements of the designation.Thedeadline for CUDE applications to be submitted to DE program managersApril 3thOnce applications are received, DE program directors will review theirhome/regional applicationsand submit approved applications to the US program director and WOCCUfor finalizing and processing, upon which CUDE designees would be notified.
