elaborated about the activities of IIW and its contribution to the development of welding technology in the country and how its

the economic growth of the country . He also stressed the need of implementing Skill Development Initiative which IIW is actively participating in the program implementation of Govt. of India .

stated that Cochin Shipyard already initiated action to improve the productivity of welding through imparting continuous training to the welders and introduction new generation power sources . Shipyard being one of the major organizations in the country where welding is the major production process , has to go much ahead in development the technology . He also acclaimed that the

Shipyard made significant improvements in business development , productivity and delivery of orders and customer satisfaction shows a set reply to the critics of those who believe " Nothing happen in Kerala " .

Rev. Fr. Jose Alex , CMI , Director RSET in his address extended all support to IIW in achieving the goal of propagation and promotion the welding technology which will help the institutions also to grow in the technology development as a whole .

He also explained about the implementation of Skill Development Initiative of Cochin Shipyard , in giving training to 60 youngsters of BPL status in association with Don
