Her mom saw potential in her when she was around 2 years old. Judy would go around the house singing “jingle bells” Slide3

Getting the job

Judy

and her mom traveled all over so she could perform in

nightclubs, cabarets, hotels and theaters solo

. They soon had to leave town due to some conflict with her dad. They were reduced to living in an automobile. Soon their prays were answered when Judy was signed by Louis b. Mayer who was a part of a leading film studio MGM. Slide4

1939, she shot one of her most famous movies yet. She played Dorothy in

She had another very successful show called “The Judy Garland Show.” she was also in “The Harvey Girls.” Judy made approximately 43 films before se died.Slide6

Judy was 47 when she died. She overdosed on a sleeping pill. People believe that she died of anorexia but it could have been many othe

r problems. She was very ill during her last year of living. Slide7
