IMPORTANT NOTICE Candidates newly allotted to NIT, Tiruchirappalli in Special Round of CSAB Counselling are hereby informed that the Physical Reporting for Admission at NIT, Tiruchirappalli will be carried out during August 24 - 26, 2015 only . 2 2. Transfer Certificate / leaving certificate from school last studied v. Migration certificate from the board vi. Class X marks sheet or Equival ent certificate vii. Class XII Board Certificate and Marks sheet of Qualifying examination viii. Passport, if the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside India. ix. Proof of place of examination Center of the final examination from the National Ope n School for candidates having senior secondary certificate. x. Social Category Certificate [OBC (NCL)/ SC / ST] issued by competent authority. xi. PwD Certificate (if Applicable) as per JoSAA 2015 Format xii. Medical certificate as per JoSAA Format 2015 (For Newly Allotted Candidates) xiii. Ten passport size and five stamp size photographs identical to the one pasted on the JEE (Main) - 201 5 application form . xiv. One set of self - attested copies of all the documents listed above. xv. Hostel fee s (DD only) , i f Hostel Accommodation is r equired Note: a. If the original certificates are not in Hindi/ English, duly certified Hindi/ English version/ translation of such certificates will be required . b. The original certificates and attested copies will be retained by the Institute. c. Candidates are instructed to keep sufficient number of Xerox copies of the original documents submitted. d. Candidate must be present in person along with parent / authorized guardian for taking admission at NIT Trichy. Admission in absentia (p roxy) will not be allowed even on medical grounds. The Class work has already commenced. Hence the newly admitted candidates are informed to come prepared for attending classes from the date of joining. General Information i. Hostel Facilities: Separate Hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. ii. Banking facility: State Bank of India (Branch Code: 1617) branch is functioning in NITT, Campus with ATM facilities. iii. Location of the Institute: NIT - Trichy is located about 22 km from Tiruchirappalli Junction / Central Bus stand on the Trichy - Thanjavur Highway. Trichy is also well - connected to the other cities of Tamil Nadu, southern Karnataka and Kerala through Govt./Private buses. One can get buses from Trichy to almost any part of the state, due to its geographical location in the cen ter of Tamil Nadu. The Central bus station runs long distance services to major cities of the State and South India such as Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Erode, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupathi. The simplest and most economical way to reach NIT - Trichy is by bus. Any city Bus at Tiruchirapalli Junction will tak e you to the central bus stand. To reach NIT, Trichy, kindly board Thanjavur bound mofosil or route bus. The journey time from Trichy will be around 40 minutes. The executive way of reaching NIT - Trichy will be hiring a taxi. Taxis may charge around Rs.500/ - . Tiruchirappalli is an important junction on the Southern Railway. It 4 connects Chennai, Thanjavur , Madurai, Tirupati, Rameswaram, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Jammu, New Delhi, Cochin a nd Mangalore. It has an international airport, and is connected with Chennai, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Colombo. 4. Dress Code Boys : All the boy students should come with formal dress to the class rooms & computer labs, preferably full pant and shirt. Wearing T - shirts and other informal dresses in the class rooms is strictly prohibited. Girls : All the girl students should come with formal dress to the class rooms & computer labs, in saree or churidar with dupatta.
