Operation Paw Print is a project to raise money for New Hope Animal Rescue Center. They are in need of different pet supplies to take care of the animals that they have. Operation Paw Print is advertising fundraisers for New Hope Animal Rescue Center at Niagara Elementary School. We are trying to encourage students to think about animals at New Hope. Like this little guy:

What is Oper

We are collecting pet supplies for New Hope Animal Rescue Center, such as: dog food, cat food, pet toys, bleach, dawn, paper towels, and cash donations. The animals at New Hope will be happy!

This is one of the many cats at New Hope Animal Rescue.

What Are We Collecting?Slide4

At first, we raised $36. But for the cutest pet contest, we raised $284! That is a 688% increase. Our goal for the Cutest Pet Contest was $100, but we raised almost 3 times as much! I bet the animals at New Hope Animal Rescue Center are happy!

We hosted a “Cutest Pet Contest” and encouraged Niagara students to bring in pictures of their pet. Then, students brought in money to vote (it was 5 cents a vote) and the person who had the most votes got to have a party and their pet picture got to be put in our school lobby. The winner was Shelby Brown, a 4

th

grader from Niagara Elementary. The total amount of money we raised for the cutest pet contest was $284.51. Shelby collected over 25% of the votes!

We used the following forms of technology: We used Microsoft Publisher to make brochures, posters, and bookmarks. We used an intercom to advertise to Niagara Elementary students about our project. We used Microsoft PowerPoint to make an informational PowerPoint. We used a camera and Windows Movie Maker to make a film for students of Niagara Elementary School. We used a microphone and speakers to announce to our school. We used Microsoft Excel to make a graph. We used an online T-shirt designer to make T-shirts.
