SCIA Engineer User Conference2017 CADS Footfall Analysis

Introduction CADS Footfall Analysis post-processing software; CFA links with SCIA Engineer (model geometry); Uses part of SCIA Engineer’s results as input; Vertical footfall analysis in accordance with CCIP-016 and SCI P354; Analyses any type of structure for footfall analysis, irrespective of the shape, material or use. Footfall Analysis

Features Excitation forces (DLF): CCIP-016, SCI P354, AISC DG11 for floors and stairs; Frequency weighting curves (BS 6841); Quick investigation for full model or specific areas; Cumulative measurement of vibration levels – Vibration Dose Analysis (VDV); Predictions of the resonant and impulsive (transient) responses; Intuitive input and output; Pass/fail limit check in accordance with BS 6472 and ISO 10137.

How it works Export the floor into a separate model Activate dynamic module Apply the boundary condition Define mass cases Define material properties
