This last few months have really flown by; it’s hard to believe that we are nearly half way through the year already. The staff here at Oaklands have been attending a variety of training courses (from Manual Handling, to Mental Capacity and Deprivation of Liberty, to Adult Safeguarding) some for a refresher, others as first timers. With the new equipment that was purchased (chair weighing scales, rotary stand, handling belts and different sized slings for the hoister) the staff was kept up to date on how to use them with ‘in house training’.
