Earthquakes /Falling Objects
Due to the risk of falling objects from an
earthquake
or fire event at the higher floors please try and avoid the sidewalk of 100s next to our building. A myth during an earthquake is to run for a door archway for safety but the best thing to do is drop to the ground and get under something sturdy like a table or desk until the shaking stops.Slide7

Tripping Hazards
Over one million Americans suffer a slip, trip, and fall injury every year
20
– 30% of people who experience a slip and fall will suffer moderate to severe injuries such as bruises, hip fractures, or head injuriesAccording to the OSHA stats , slips, trips and falls account for 15 percent of all accidental deaths, and are second only to motor vehicles as a cause of fatalities
Look
for slip and trip hazards around the
room,
including floor coverings and their condition, uneven floors, trailing cables and areas that are sometimes slippery due to spillages.
Prevent any tripping hazards (Chair, Briefcases, Purses, Cords)
Please place large bags against wall in back
Please use Hand Rails
