The idea of making a Museum of Gem and Jewellery was initiated by a group of gem traders and jewellers

.

Currently, we have

12 directors

who are willing to work together to make the museum project a success.

Initially, the name was

Museum of Gem and Jewellery

, then the word “

Federation

” was added because we want all the organization & Associations to join us.

It is a Section C8 company which is transparent and acceptable at all government levels. Registration process was handled by Chartered Account R.Sogani AssociatesThe logo was designed by Ms. Raveena Chordia.

A Mobile, Telephone and fax number and email are obtained.

Now we are in the process of logo trademark registration. Website

www.mgjjaipur.com is being developed by

M/s JOVI International

and will be launched shortly.

Also, various email groups are being formed for easy communication.

Soon a

WhatsApp

group

will be established so that it will become easy to communicate with all the members.

offered office space & we rented it.

At first Mr. Vikram

was appointed on our staff, but shortly we lost him in an accident.

taking care of all our office work.

Also we have appointed

Khandelwal as manager to handle all the museum affairs. To set up the museum we are trying to form a working committee. They will be responsible for day to day operations, security and safety.Progress Report Summary

We appointed Mr. Sanjay Kothari

as architect. His team along with R. Sogani Associates helped us in preparing the project report and PPT with provisional drawing which was submitted to Mr. S.K

Agarwal

secretary tourism department, Government of Rajasthan.

Finally, a MOU was signed on

November 16, 2015

We got a very good response and lot of people showed interest to be a part of the museum.

A small unit is proposed for which some sites are taken into consideration and a finalization will soon be made.

As & when we have land, a larger unit

will be constructed.

This museum is

exclusively

for Gem & Jewellery.

This will be the

only museum in the world

, which is totally dedicated to Gem & Jewellery.

Each section will have a set of gemstone like rough – cut – polished beads carving jewellery and other related items.

Each section will have a 2 minute video set up explaining the details of that section.

A computerized interactive program is being developed for each section as well.

We are inviting traders dealing in a particular stone to help us to develop that section.

Their names will be recognized on that section. They will be titled as sectional heads for establishing and smooth running.

Traders and

Jewellers

can donate their exhibit which will be displayed with their name and a brief description.

A committee will be setup for approving and accepting the exhibits.

Articles can be loaned or rented from the traders,

Jewellers

and other museums for temporary display and the same may be reciprocated by our museum.

Your name will be recognized with the exhibit and thus you will be honored and remembered.

We can have video advertisements and slide show advertisements as well.

All these will generate enough funds to maintain the museum.

Various types of memberships are being offered. Choose what suits you most, but do join us.

Soon we will be requesting the government for a piece of land where our large museum can be built.

This will become the only museum of Gem & Jewellery which is orientated at public level.

This project will be possible with everyone’s hard work and support from all of us.

This will help our trade, our city and tourism industry. We request everyone to join.

Suggestions are welcome and we will try to do our best.
