JOMA Challenge League Summer 2020 The JOMA Challenge League is a convenience league that allows you bowl at your convenience. The league will start: June 1 st , 2020 and you must have all games completed by September 30 th , 2020. You will be bowling 16 weeks. Rule 1 – Management. The league board of directors, which consists of the officers and team capta ins, shall manage this league. Rule 2 – Format. The JOMA Challenge League will be a singles league bowling 3 games of bowling per week. Rule 3 – Membership . This league will be certified through USBC. Membership fees must be paid before completion of bowler’s first series. The USBC Basic Membership fee is $ 10.00. All bowlers must fill out a USBC sanction card to bowl in the JOMA Challenge League. R ule 4 – League Fees. League fees, which must be paid by each member each sessi on, shall be $15 of which $ 7 covers lineage, and $8 is to be placed in the prize fun d . Bowlers are required to pay for each week of bowling . Bowling shoes are available for rent at the Front Counter for $1.50 plus tax. Rule 5 – Averages . Averages will be determined by the following: 1. 201 9 JOMA Challenge Ending Average 2. Highest 2019 - 2020 Average If no entering average, bowlers will set an average after the first 3 games. Entering average will be used for the first 12 games of the league. Rule 6 - Handicap . The hand icap allowance will be 90% of 230. Rule 7 – Point System. Position standings will be based on total pin fall plus handicap. Rule 8 – Withdraw al . If an individual must withdraw from the league during the season, two weeks’ notice and sufficient reason must be given in accordance with USBC Rule 114a. Rule 9 – Absent. Any games not completed by September 30 th , 2020 will be the bowler’s average minus 10 pins. Rule 10 – Miscellaneous . All rules not covered by these rules shall be governed by USBC and the league board of directors.
