the Tools panel

Tap or click the ‘Default Foreground and Background Colors’ button near the bottom of the Tools panel to ensure that the default colors are black and whiteIf the color white appears over black at the bottom of the Tools panel, tap or click the ‘Switch Foreground and Background Colors’ button to choose the default colorsIf necessary, tap or click the second button from the top on the Tools panel to select itIf the button does not display a square icon, press and hold or right-click the button
